Hull Pride: A Celebration of Love, Identity, and Community

Hull Pride stands as one of the UK's most vibrant and inclusive LGBTQIA+ festivals, transforming the city into a kaleidoscope of colour, music, and unity. Held annually since 2001, the event not only celebrates diversity but also champions equality and acceptance adding inclusivity and unity into the mix this year with the fabulous theme 'you're welcome'. The year 2024, saw an incredible 136,000 people join us to celebrate Pride in Hull with hopes to surpass that this year.

A Day of Celebration and Solidarity

The festivities commence on Saturday 26th July at 12 noon with a lively parade, where thousands march through the city streets, showcasing the strength and diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community. Following the parade, attendees gather at various venues across Hull for performances, workshops, and community events that highlight the talents and stories of LGBTQIA+ individuals. With special performances and appearances from Big Brovas and Booty Luv confirmed it's set to be a great day whether you want to parade, party or people watch there's something for everyone.

Community-Driven and Accessible

Organized entirely by volunteers, Hull Pride remains a free event, emphasizing accessibility, inclusivity and community spirit. The festival's success is a testament to the dedication of its organizers and the support of local businesses and sponsors committed to fostering an inclusive environment. With Lee Pearson, who was announced as one of Hull & Humber's 30 under 30 being named vice chair to team up with 22 year chair Andy Train its set to be a great day.

Looking Ahead

As Hull Pride continues to grow, it remains a beacon of hope and celebration for the LGBTQIA+ community and allies. The festival not only entertains but also educates, fostering a city-wide culture of acceptance and love.
