BRAVE Combat Federation prepares to make its highly anticipated return to Bulgaria with BRAVE CF 97, bringing a thrilling night of world-class MMA action to the city of Burgas. As part of the ongoing “Year of the BRAVE” campaign, the event marks BRAVE CF’s second trip to Bulgaria, further solidifying its position as the most hosted MMA promotion across Europe.

Headlining the event is the return of Mohamed Said Maalem, who steps into his second main event on Bulgarian soil. Known for his gritty, high-pressure fighting style, the Algerian powerhouse will once again aim to spoil the party for a home favorite Kaloyan Kolev, as he looks to make a statement in the Light Heavyweight division.

The co-main event promises fireworks in the Super Welterweight division, as rising knockout artist Eliezer “King Kong” Kubanza faces the biggest test of his career against Jack Grant—a veteran with battle-tested experience and a well-rounded skill set. The bout comes in the wake of Alex Lohoré’s recent triumph and could have serious implications on the title picture.

In a high-stakes clash at Bantamweight, French contender Brice Picaud collides with Lasha Abramishvili of Georgia in a bout that could determine the next challenger to reigning champion Borislav Nikolić. Both men are known for their relentless pace and technical brilliance, making this one of the most anticipated matchups of the night.

In another key matchup, Gerard Burns returns to BRAVE CF action, bringing back his explosive style and fan-favorite intensity. Meanwhile, in the Strawweight division, two of Europe’s most talented female fighters—Songül Karatorak and Mim Grubb—go head-to-head in what promises to be a dynamic and closely contested bout.

BRAVE CF 97 not only offers elite-level competition but also serves as a pivotal stepping stone toward the promotion’s landmark 100th event later this year. With fighters from across the continent and a stacked fight card, the Burgas event aims to deliver unforgettable moments and solidify Bulgaria’s growing status in the global MMA landscape.

Stay tuned for more updates as BRAVE CF 97 gets closer to fight night.
