Artist Spotlight: Anja Unleashes Feminine Rage
If you caught Delilah Bon tearing up festival stages this summer, including a ferocious set at Vegan Camp Out, you already know the sheer force guitarist ANJA brings to the stage.
Offstage, she is a passionate, badass feminist fighting for real change; on stage, she is an undeniable presence. Now, the 24 year old South London artist is stepping out from behind the touring lineup to carve her own path with a raw, genre defying solo project.
ANJA’s sound refuses to stay inside tidy industry boxes. Blending abrasive metal with glitchy electronics and dynamic alt pop hooks, her music crashes between heavy breakdowns and vulnerable melodies. Rooted deeply in neurodivergence, LGBTQ+ identity, and pure feminine rage, her sonic world is dark, defiant, and loaded with attitude.
Following the release of her debut single "RED" and the follow up track "Play Pretend," ANJA is currently gearing up for a new run of releases this autumn that push her evolving sound even further into the heavy alt landscape.
Her intense recorded sound is about to hit the live circuit under her own banner. Marking her first solo show, ANJA will perform live in London this Halloween season as part of a Battle of the Bands night:
